RTE All Ireland Finals 2013, Dean Crowe Theatre, Athlone

winners

Congratulations to Kilmeen Drama Group on their three-in-a-row victory in Athlone.  Winners in 2011 and 2012, they took first place again in the 2013 Finals. The results were:

2nd Silken Thomas Players Mercury Fur by Philip Ridley
3rd Prosperous Dramatic Society The Goat or Who Is Sylvia? By Edward Albee

Simply Am Dram RTE 1 Tuesday Nights at 7 pm

Beginning on Tuesday 16 April, and running for six weeks, this series follows the fortunes of seven amateur drama groups as they plan their production, and set out on the 2012 Full Length Circuit.  The participating groups are Bradán Players, Cornmill TC, Ballyshannon DG, Prosperous DS, Nenagh Players, Brideview DG and Kilmeen DG.  Don’t forget to tune in! www.rte.ie for more details.

 

 

RTE All Ireland Finals 2012, Dean Crowe Theatre, Athlone  

Congratulations to Kilmeen Drama Group, winners of the All Ireland title for the second year running with their production of The Weir by Conor McPherson. Silken Thomas Players came second with their production of Jerusalemby Jez Butterworth, while Corofin Dramatic Society took third place with The Subject Was Roses by Frank D.Gilroy.
