One Act Festivals 2012
At a meeting of the joint ADCI/DLI One Act Festivals Committee on 15th April the results of the 2011 ADCI/DLI Survey of participating groups was discussed and the One Act Festival rules reviewed and revised.
The main changes to the rules are concerning:
- The timing of complaints
- Acceptance of a festival offer represents a binding contract
- Clarification that use of a set as judged by the adjudicator results in disqualification
- The rule in relation to the number of Groups required to constitute a competition was clarified and NO EXCEPTION will be allowed.
- The number of groups qualifying for the All-Ireland was set as 6 Open & 5 Confined & in the event of two or more groups having the same points after all festival results have been considered then qualification will be on the basis of a draw.
